The earliest alpha-beta-whatever is released!
You know how Bandcamp used to be a great site that everyone loved, and then some stupid business decisions happened that made everyone suddenly question its longevity?
And then a bunch of people wrote various player tools for selling albums on itch.io and other websites but they only really did the preview-player stuff and not the encoding and metadata stuff? And then I wrote a tool to do all that stuff but nobody used it because it was a fiddly command-line tool?
And then people stopped worrying about Bandcamp because it seemed to be doing okay, and then even bigger, stupider business decisions happened which made it obvious that Bandcamp could not be trusted at all anymore?
Well, I finally wrote a GUI for my fiddly command-line tool which makes it a lot easier to publish music on itch.io.
There is a heck of a lot left to be done on it but hopefully this is just the beginning of making this tool, y’know, Great.
