More progress!


I finished the "therapist" vignette and did a bunch of tuning to some of the other vignettes. I also finally added a basic credits screen and redid the way I'm handling text on the menu, because I couldn't get BMFont to work right a second time and anyway it's a lot less hassle to just distribute the fonts directly wherever possible; I was using Bodoni72 before, but have now switched to Libre Bodoni which looks almost as good and also allows redistribution for free (rather than having to pay $1000 for an app redistribution license!). Using a TrueType font also makes it possible for me to tune the layout a bit more precisely, for whatever that's worth.

Anyway, tomorrow I hope to get the last vignette (vacation) done, and then Wednesday I'll hopefully get the last of the "phase 11" photo crawl done. And then Strangers will be effectively finished (for now)!

Then I can spend a few weeks recuperating and working on other stuff for a while, and then start on the next game.

Other changes since the last devlog:

  • Internal debugging fixes
  • Dialog path fixes
  • Accessibility improvements; now you can play it one-handed with a controller
  • Some general refactoring and cleanups
